can IT final exam marks will replace any main subject marks if i fail in any one subject like maths, science or sst in class 10 th cbse in 2020 board?

hey, im also 10th. i did some research for you and some say the board marks will be evaluated out of the BEST 5 marks you scored
another says that IT is just a vocational subject and wont be evaluated
in my school, we are told that IT is just a vocational subject like music and will not be evaluated but score good just to be on the safer side
