Yes, development is possible without overuse. The term overuse can be used here in various contexts. Say for example, the overuse of natural resources.

When development adopts a healthy pace that not only meets human needs but also helps sustain the natural environment of which we are a part and parcel, it is termed 'sustainable development'. This does not mean there needs to be a compromise of human needs; it merely means finding out ways to meet our needs reasonably well while not compromising with our environment's quality.

Sustainable development for instance, would stress upon the importance of using renewable sources of energy over fossil-fuel derived energy, which disturbs, to a greater extent, the natural balance.

yes it is possible.....we should not Waste resources and should also conserve it for coming generations . if we need resources like wood for furniture then we should also plant tree in place of the old one.
