No, we perceive light when it falls on a surface. So, what we actually see is the object and not the light. Light has many coloured components in it, for instance, violet, blue, red, infrared,etc.
As explained, the light can not be seen but the surrounding through which it is passing , can be seen. So, we cannot say whether light is in dark colour or not.

here is ur answer...
If the color of a surface is anything other than white, it means that it absorbs light of some wavelengths. For example, a surface that appears red absorbs yellow, green, blue and violet light, while reflecting red light. Black is the least reflective color, it's the color of a surface that absorbs all light.
