Can matter change its state .

yeah ,matter can change its states by changing the physical condition

for eg water is solid form at 0 degree and it become liquid at room temperature

yes matter can change its state ...

for ex there's some water ....when it's exposed to low temperature (0°) it changes its state to solid

when this water is boiled ...it changes it's state to gas ...

some times sublimable substance directly change from solid to gas ...

thus it's said that matter can change its state...
