No, never, the processes of reduction and oxydation always go hand in hand. In a chemical reaction there must be reduction if oxydation is present and there must be oxydation if reduction is present.
Think one thing seriously that in oxydation addition of oxygen takes place so that oxygen firstly would have been with any other element, then only it has come to the present element for oxydation sk means removal of oxygen has taken place in the previous element so reduction has occured there.
