Explanation:

When you talk about a friend he must have the following qualities:

  • He must be Trustworthy
  • He must be Dependable
  • He must be non-judgemental
  • He must be Good listner
  • He must be suppportive
  • and fun to be around

All theses qualtities can be aquired by our parents...to a very extraordinary level.

But

Then the problem comes with 2 things

  • mentality
  • maturity

They always have a different mentality to see things...which actually comes with age. Like you and your best friend having the same age carry the same mindset to do things...which your parents won't for

e.g. eating tiffin while the class is going on. Your parent will never allow it. He will consider it as a disobedient behaviour but your best friend...he will never deny opening the tifin box.

You as a child have a different point of view to see things which your parents will mess it up along with their work and stress.

Hence, Parents can try their best to aquire the position of a best friend...but is a best friend is best friend. He is totally different in the long run.
