Answer:

I guess we can't.

Too much light will only rise temperature and high temperature destroys the enzymes and plants parts (chlorophyll). In that case, plants wouldn't be able to make food. Also growth depends on nutrients and not on light. If surplus amount of minerals and nutrients are there, carbon dioxide is there and water, then only the growth can be increased. Growth doesn't depends on light. Light is just required to carry out the photosynthesis reaction. Light is not a reactant. So if required materials are not there, what can light do even?

Answer:

yes, plant growth can be increased by increasing the brightness of the light.Because light is the important component in the process of photosynthesis. Plants absorb different light according to their needs.

However, plants absorb many nutrients and minerals from the soil which contains macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients.These all things are also necessary.

If the plant lacks any of the components it may be light or nutrients from soil ,etc. Then it will not grow properly hence causing to deficiency. Thus with all these components the process of photosynthesis takes place and provides food to the plants overall increasing their growth.
