It is possible for plants to prepare food using artificial light.

But it is important that the light must be efficient. Different lights have different wavelengths and some colours like green and yellow are not used for photosynthesis.

Red and blue wavelengths are ideal for photosynthesis. People can use the natural lights or warmer white light for plants to prepare their food.

✔Yes,but only the small plants like the plants that have started growing recently and dose not need too much sunlight.

✔Photosynthesis refers to the process of converting carbon dioxide, light and water into carbohydrates which are further broken down into various compounds which are required for the growth and living of the plant.

✔Although sunlight is the essential condition for the photosynthesis to happen, yet artificial light can also serve the purpose.

✔Artificial light having the frequency, same as that of the sunlight can help the plant to carry on with photosynthesis.

✔Also the distance of the plant from the source of light decides the amount of light received by the plant that is the right amount of artificial light provided to the plant can help the plant to continue with this process.
