Yes ! Potassium dichromate can be used for the preparation of chromic acid.

To prepare Chromic acid, we can mix Potassium dichromate with concentrated sulphuric acid.
2K2CrO4 + H2SO4 → K2Cr2O7 + K2SO4 + H2O
