Explanation:

While limited species of organisms are capable of fragmentation, almost all species are capable of regeneration, atleast to a certain extent. During the process of fragmentation, an organism splits into fragments and each of these fragments develops into individual organisms.

Answer:

Hey there!

We know that Regeneration and fragmentation are the types of asexual reproduction in multicellular organisms

In fragmentation the body of parent organism breaks up into many fragments and each fragment starts to live as an independent new organism

In regeneration, the body of the organisms breaks up into parts, and the discarded part is regenerated after a period of time.

There is only one difference between the two that

In fragmentation,

the body breaks into fragments (meaning into a specific shape) while in

Regeneration the body part that is discarded can be of any shape.

And also,

In fragmentation the discarded part also grows into a new organisms while in regeneration the discarded part is of no use ie. it is a waste. In regeneration planaria is an exception as in planaria the discarded part also grows into a new organism, and planaria also goes under the process of regeneration only in certain conditions
