( Can some English expert take a look at the letter is it correct )


My dear friend,

I fear that you are annoyed with me. I could not attend your birthday party. There was the reason behind it. I was well to set to leave for residence to attend your birthday party. I have also brought a beautiful gift for u, that was a beautiful watch. As I was about to start my car, my mother had a fall. she broke her leg. My father was not at home. She had to be removed to the hospital. She needed 24-hour care.

I would have loved to be with you but god willed otherwise. I hope you will not more be an angry with me. Convey my congratulations to your parents. I shall come someday. And I will give u the gift on that day.

Very good letter. But as you have mentioned at the last that you will go to him and give him his gift. It doesn't seem good because you have relation of friendship with him and if you mention about gift it means your friendship is only for gifts and it is so mean. Anyhow your letter is so good.
