1. The Electromagnet was unable to attract heavy materials because attract heavy and bulky items requires more work to be done by the magnet and each magnet has a specific limit till which it can attract. So, the attractive limit of Mohit's electromagnet is not strong enough to attract heavier objects.

2. Methods to enable the electromagnet to attract heavier objects:

(i) Increase the amount of current flowing through it.

(ii) Use Soft iron to make the core of the electromagnet. This imparts better magnetic properties to the electromagnet
