Allylic halides are halides that have a double bonded carbon atom attached next to the carbon atom attached to it

CH_2=CH-CH_2-Cl this is an allylic halide, since the double bond carbon is attached to the carbon in which the halogen is attached

Some examples are:

CH_2=CH-CH_2-Cl  This is  3 chloroprop-1 ene

CH_3-CH=CH-CH_2-Cl  This is 4 chloro but 2 ene

CH_2=CH-CHCl-CH_3   This is 3 chloro but 1 ene
