Answer:

Let sahil age be x

then sahil's mother age is 3x

After 5 years:

sahil age = x+5

sahil's mother age = 3x + 5

x + 5 + 3x + 5 = 66

4x = 56

x = 14

Sahil present age = 14

Sahil's mother present age = 3x = 14 x 3 = 42

Thank you hope it is helpful

Here it is given that Sahil's mother age is three times his present age

So, let Sail's age be x

Then his mother's age will be 3x

After five years Sahil's and mother's age will be x + 5 and 3x + 5 respectively

Now, it is given that the sum of their ages 5 years later will be 66

So, x + 5 + 3x + 5 = 66

                     4x + 10 = 66

                             4x = 56

                               x  = 14

So, Sahil's present age = x

                                      = 14

Mother's present age = 3x

                                    = 3 × 14

                                    = 42

Hence, Sahil's and mother's present ages will be 14 years and 42 years respectively
