Given : Coordinates of Quadrilateral

To find : whether Quadrilateral is parallelogram or not

Solution:

D (-8 , 1)  , E (-3 , 6)  , F (7 , 4)  , G ( 2,- 1)

DE   = √5²  + 5²  = 5√2

EF  = √10²  + (-2)²  = 2√26

FG   = √5²  + 5²  = 5√2

GD  = √10²  + (-2)²  = 2√26

opposite sides are equal Hence Quadrilateral is a Parallelogram

L (-1 , 6)  ,  M ( 5 , 9 )  , N (0 , 2)  , P (-8 , 2)

LM =  (9 - 6)/(5 - (-1))  = 3/6   = 1/2

MN = (2 - 9)/(0 - 5) =  7/5

NP  = ( 2 - 2)/(-8 - 0) =  0

PL = (6 - 2)/(-1 -(-8)) = 4/7

Slope of opposite lines are not equal

Hence Quadrilateral is not a Parallelogram
