Answer: Area of shaded region= 20 units

I have named all the vertex, so it is easy to understand.

First by using the pythagoras theorem, we will find the value of AB.

Pythagoras theorem states that, Hypotenuse square= Base square + Perpendicular square

So,

AC square= AB square + BC square

10 square = AB square +  6 square

100= AB square + 36

AB square= 100-36

AB square= 64

AB = under root 64

AB= 8 units

Area of shaded triangle= Area of triangle ABD- Area of triangle ABC

Area of triangle = 1/2 * base *height

We, already had bases of both the triangles, we just needed the common height, which we got as 8 units.

Area of triangle ABD= 1/2* 6*8= 24 units

Area of triangle ABC= 1/2*11*8= 44 units

Area= 44-24= 20 units

Area of shaded region= 20 units

Hope it helps!!!!!!!!
