Answer:

Algebra is a division of mathematics designed to help solve certain types of problems quicker and easier. Algebra is based on the concept of unknown values called variables, unlike arithmetic which is based entirely on known number values. ... These numbers are called constants because they constantly have the same value.

Answer:

Basic algebra is the field of mathematics that it one step more abstract than arithmetic. Remember that arithmetic is the manipulation of numbers through basic math functions. Algebra introduces a variable, which stands for an unknown number or can be substituted for an entire group of numbers

In algebra you have terms, variables and co efficients

Terms are single numbers, variables, or the product of a number and variable.  To find a term in an expression the number which comes before and after (+ , - , × , ÷) is a term

Ex:- 6x , 5y

A coefficient is a number multiplied by a variable.

Ex:- Co efficient of 6x is 6

A variable does not have a specific value and is usually denoted by any alphabet in its small form

Ex:- x , y , z

Here is a example combining all the above mentioned

Ex:- 6x + 1

In the above example 6 is a co efficient, x is a variable and 6x and 1 are terms.

Hope it helps
