Answer:habeas means "to have" and corpus means "body" together means to have body when an individual is detained without any legal justifucation....called habeas corpus writ.

Explanation:In general this writ is issued by the court to free the person who is deatined by the police without any legal justification. This writ can be filed before the courtby an individual or an organization not necessary by the aggrieved person himself. This writ can also be filed against private people or organization also.

The case when the haebus corpus writ is issued by the court is "Banda rape case".
