non cooperation mov by gandhiji was started in support of khilafat movement. khilafat mov was started by muslims and gandhiji felt that its a good way to unite hindus and muslims.in this movement he stated the the cooperation of indians is allowing the britishers to rule.without cooperation they won't be able to have control over us. So all the british awards were boycotted. foreign cloth as well as jobs were also boycotted

jinnie: Can you even explain me the khilafat movement? :-)
Anonymous: in the first world war britishers wanted muslim support so they promised turkey that they won't attack them and in return muslims should be on their side.muslims gave support but britishers attacked turkey and insulted the king ottaman .enraged with this muslims decided to protest and started khilafat mov.
