f(x) = x³ + 13x²+ 32x + 20

Let x be 1.

f(-1) = -1³ + 13*-1²+ 32*-1 + 20

= -1 + 13 - 32 + 20

= -33 + 33

= 0

Therefore, x = -1

.: x + 1 = 0.

On dividing, x³ + 13x²+ 32x + 20 from x + 1 we get quotient x² + 12x + 20.

Now, factorising it.

x³ + 13x²+ 32x + 20

= (x + 1)(x² + 12x + 20)

= (x + 1)[x² +(10 + 2)x + 20]

= (x + 1)[x² +10x + 2x + 20]

= (x + 1)[x (x + 10) + 2 (x + 10)]

= (x + 1)(x + 10)(x + 2).
