Answer:

sp^3

Explanation:

Firstly Wright the electronic configuration of the metal with Aufbau's Principal.

Like for carbon

C = 1s^2 2s^2 2p^2

Secondly take out the Oxidation state of the metal with respect to the compound

Like for carbon in CCl4

C = +4

Now Wright the electronic configuration of the metal with the oxidation state.

Like for C^+4

C = 1s^2

Now take out the coordination no. of the compound.

Like for CCl4

CCl4 = 4

Now by filling shells of the orbital of the metal which are empty with the coordination no. ( by the the coordination no. is actually the no. of electron)

Like for C

1s shell is filled so I will start filling electron pair from 2s

to 2p because 2s has 1 shell (that means 1 electron pair) and 2p has 3 shell( that means 3 electron pair).

Hence we can say that the hybridization is sp^3( because electron pair was filled from one shell of 2s and three shell of 2p)

Thank you.Hope u got ur answer
