Creating a Table :
• First of all, let's understand what a table is!
Ans : A table is an organised arrangement of text in the form of rows and columns.
• What is a cell?
Ans : The intersection of a column and a row is called a cell. It is a part of table.
• Also, word provides a variety of ways to create a table. We will have a look at all of them one by one.
• The simplest way to create a table is to click on the Table button in the Tables group on the Insert Tab. Data in the form of text or graphics can be entered inside the cells.
• While using the Table Grid, we have to first click on the table button in the tables group on the insert tab.
• On the other hand, while using insert table dialogue box, we have to first click on the table button in the tables group on the insert tab. Then we have to select the insert table option from the drop - down menu. The insert table dialogue box appears. Then, we have to specify the number of columns and rows in the dialogue box and click OK. Also, when we'll insert a table, we will get the Design and Layout tabs on the Ribbon, under the table.
• We can also insert a table by clicking the Insert tab > Table group > Draw Table option. We have to select the line style and drag the pencil on the working area. Then we have to draw rows and columns using the dragging method.
