Hey mate,
We know alpha + beta = - b/a
So, from the equation,
Alpha + beta = 6.... (1)
Now given,
3 alpha + 2 beta = 20...(2)
Now solving both equations,
Multiplying (1) by 3 and subtracting from (2),
- beta = 2
Beta = - 2... (3)
Now putting Beta in (1),
Alpha = 8...(4)
Now we also know,
Alpha*Beta = c/a
Then according to equation,
Alpha*Beta = a
From (3) and (4),
a = - 16
Hope this helps you out!
