Step-by-step explanation:

acb=dce

a=b

ac=ce

by asa condition

∆abc~=∆ecd

bc=cd(corresponding parts of congruent ∆s) x=2y-----(1)

ab=ed. 2x+4=3y+8

2x-3y=4

putting the value of x obtained earlier

2*2y-3y=4

y=4

therefore putting the value of y in 1 we get

x=2y

x=2*4

x=8
