The person wrote 42 true false questions.

Given he got 15$ for each mcq and 10$ for each t/ f questions and he got a total of 540$ for 50 questions.

so we can write 2 equations from the given information.

Let, no. of mcq questions be x and no. of t/f questions be y

Therefore, x + y = 50

=> x = 50 - y -------------(eqn 1)

Also,

15x + 10y = 540

=> 15(50 - y) + 10y = 540 [ from eqn 1]

=> 750 - 15y + 10y = 540

=> -5y = -210

=> y = 42

Therefore no. of t/f questions is 42

so option b is correct
