So the no. of marbles he has given to his brother is = x*1/7

No. of marbles Ravi has given to his friend = 1/3 of (total marbles-marbles he has given to his brother) = 1/3(x-(x*1/7))

=1/3(6x/7)

=2x/7

Now he has 24 marbles left with him

So the following equation will be formed

x-(no. Of marbles he had given to his brother + no. of mark let’s he had given to his friend)=24

=>x-((x/7)+(2x/7))=24

=>7x-x-2x=168

=>4x=168

=>x=42

Hence the total number of marbles Ravi has is 42 marbles
