Answer:

Answer a:-

As we know

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed of

(A) 5m/s

(B) 3m/s

(C) 2 m/s

Explanation:

In case (A)

Distance = 20m

Time = 4s

Speed = 20/4

= 5m/s

In case (B)

Distance = 18m

Time = 6s

Speed = 18/6

= 3m/s

In case (C)

Distance = 16m

Time = 8s

Speed = 16/8

= 2m/s

Answer b:-

We know that slope of distance- time graph gives speed, here out of the 3 given graphs the first graph has highest slope. So, the speed is highest in first case.
