"Burning" is also known as "combustion" which causes fire to give off heat, light and energy. All the cells undergo rapid respiration and use ATP to burn brightly. After all the ATP is used, Fire sets off. Thats why oxygen is a great producer of fire. Because it uses all oxygen!
