Given:

2 Equations have been provided

  • sin(ωt) - cos(ωt)
  • log(2ωt)

To check:

Whether they are periodic or not

Concept:

There are 2 methods to solve this question

  • Either you draw the graph
  • Or you simplify the given Equation.

Calculation:

1st Question:

We know that any sin or cos function is periodic. So if we are able to represent the whole Equation in a single sin or cos function, we will be able to say that the given Equation is periodic.

2nd Question:

I would recommend you to draw the graph of log functions. Take a look at the graph in the attached photo. You will clearly understand that the graph doesn't return to its mean position. Hence its not periodic.
