Area of the shaded region = Area of the square - area of the circle.

Side of the square = 10 cm
Area = s×s = 10×10 = 100cm²

side of the square = Diameter of the circle.

Now, radius = D/2 = 10/2=5 CM

Area of the circle = πr²
=>3.14 × 5 ×5
=>3.14 ×25
=>78.5 cm².

Now area of the shaded region = 100 cm² - 78.5cm²
=>21.5 cm².
