Let the present age of manish is x and savita is y

then according to the question➡x+y=31----eq1

3 years ago➡x-3=4(y-3)

➡x-3=4y-12

➡x-4y=-9-----eq2

Now solving eq 1 and eq 2

31-y=4y-9

➡5y=40

➡y=8

then x=4×8-9=23

So the present age of manish is 23 and savita is 8
