We have first simplified that given equation, now let's solve further :-

→ sec∅ = √(1 + tan²∅)

→ sec∅ = √(1 + 4²/3²)

→ sec∅ = √[(9 + 16)/9]

→ sec∅ = ± 5/3

On substituting value we get,

→ 2 × 5/3 = 10/3 = R.H.S

Points to remember

  • 1 - sin²∅ = cos²∅
  • Do rationalizing
  • Root will cancel by square
  • 1/cos∅ = sec∅

Hence Proved
