jassi1994: actually its not about object and image..
jassi1994: the left side distances are taken negative and right side diatances are taken as positive in mirrors
Gourav2002: friend u is object distance and v is image
jassi1994: and also the image is always kept on left side while drawing the diagrams
Gourav2002: yes it is just same as Cartesian plane in maths with x and y axis
jassi1994: and focal length of mirror or a lens..is always taken positive if rays actually pass from it
jassi1994: and is taken negative if rays seem to be pass through
Gourav2002: no focal length of concave mirror I'd negative
Gourav2002: so please mark it brainliest
jassi1994: then its ok...left side neagtive..right side positive

Hey mate..

Here's your answer...

_________________________________________

1)Image distance will always be positive(+)

This is because always the image is formed at the
other side of the mirror means in the direction of
light.

2)Object distance will always be negative be it any lens
or mirror.

3)Focal length of convex is always positive because
it lies in the direction of light incidence.

HOPE IT HELPS
