firstly, we should divide the figure into 2.

let the first figure be the longer rectangle.

let the second figure be the broader rectangle [ not including the volume of  longer rectangle ]

volume of first figure = 4 * 1 * 3 [ length * breadth * height ]

volume = 12 cm^3

volume of second figure = 5 * 2 * 3 [ length * breadth * height ]

volume = 30 cm^3

volume of whole figure = figure 1 + figure 2

                                        = 12 + 30 = 42 cm^3

therefore, the volume of the figure is 42 cm^3.
