9x - 7i > 3(3x - 7u)​

Start by expanding the brackets on the right hand side. This gives you

9x−7i>9x−21u  

Next subtract  9x  from both sides (the inequality now does not have any  x  in it - so we cannot solve for  x ) but leaves

−7i>−21u  

If you multiply both sides by -1 (to clear negatives) then you have to reverse the inequality sign, so you get

7i<21u  

You may solve for either  i  or  u , divide by 7 to get  i :

i<3u
