i need it urgently...
Answers
t depends. Do you want to conjugate it in the present, past, conditionnal, imperative or future tense?
Most “er” verbs are regular. There are, however, a few exceptions. The verb “aller” is the most irregular one. An example?
Je vais (present)
tu allais (past)
il ira (future)
Some verbs also have an irregular “roots”. The root of a verb is his “base”. The root of the verb mangER is “mang-”, the root of the verb finIR is “fin-”. Here is how it works.
Here are the irregular roots for the present tense. Don’t worry, however, these irregular roots are always almost the same with each verb tense. Also, they are irregular because of the pronunciation.
When you conjugate the verb with the pronouns je/tu/il/elle/on/ils/elles
If the verb has an “e/é” at the end of the penultimate syllabe (jEter, lEver, espÉrer…), you must change the “e/é” by “è” : lever = je lÈve, tu lÈves, il lÈve, nous lEvons, vous lEvez, ils lÈvent
If the verb ends with “-eler/-eter”, you must dobble the letter “t/d” (appELER, jETER…): appeler = j’appeLLe, tu appeLLes, il appeLLe, nous appeLons, vous appeLez, ils appeLLent
If the verb, at the infinitive form, ends with “oyer/uyer/ayer” (nettOYER, pAYER, essUYER), you must change the letter “y” by the letter “i”: nettoyer = je nettoIe, tu nettoIes, il nettoIe, nous nettoYons, vous nettoYez, ils nettoIent
When you conjugate the verb with the pronoun nous
If the verb, at the infinitive form, ends with “cer” (commenCER), you must add a cedilla on the letter “c”: commencer = nous commenÇons
If the verb, at the infinitive form, ends with “ger” (manGER), you must add the letter “e” after the “g”: manger = nous mangEons
