Can someone plz help me with this question The electronic configuration of the fluoride ion is that of the neon atom.what is the difference between the two ?

so it has 10 electrons

whereas fluoride ion has gained one electron to attain inert gas configuration

we can represent fluoride ion as F^{-1}

it is highly reactive whereas neon is a noble gas and non reactive
