The most significant character in rabindranath tagor's short story is abdur rahmat, the kabuliwala.kabuliwala seems to be a merelya dry-fruit seller peddling in the streets of kolkata.underneath a peddler there is a great emotional being who loves his daughter so much that when he sees mini,he immediately see his own.
In every person’s life, there is someone they undoubtedly look up to and, without a second thought, my admiration goes towards my supportive and considerate mother. To the world, she has not done anything extraordinary like finding the cure for cancer or winning a Nobel prize but, to me, every little thing she does each and every day is amazing. Each morning I am awoken by her gentle and cheerful voice, giving me reassurance for the day ahead. She always tells me it is going to be a wonderful day, even in the stormiest of weather.
She then goes off to a long day of work in order to provide for her family for which she cares so dearly. No matter her level of exhaustion she always returns home and proceeds to cook a meal. Even when my brothers and I are bickering and spewing venom in our words, she has never raised her voice; she just calmly listens to both sides of the story and, without fail, will always solve the conflict.
She has never once grown frustrated with me when I return home with a poor school grade; she simply sits down with me and calmly guides me through the work until she is certain that I understand. I can often become short tempered and say hurtful things towards her, but she never fights back or loses her composure. I am constantly amazed at her passion for life; she never wastes a moment and inhales every breath as if it is filled with roses. Without a doubt, I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the woman I am proud to call my mother. Just the fact alone that she has been able to endure me for fifteen years is something to admire. She has guided me in the right direction from the day I was born and I am constantly thankful for that. I know I will lead a happy and successful life if the old saying that “you will become your mother” is indeed true.
Answer:
The person I admire the most is my mother, Ms.Flora. Not only is she my mother, but she's my best friend. My mother grew up on a small island in the Caribbean called St. Lucia. She was one of five children who lived in a two room house which no indoor plumbing. She never once complained about the thins she had and the things she wished she had. She made do in order to help support her family. I admire her because of her strength, and determination.
Ten strong men physically could not out-match my mother's strength mentally. My mother enjoyed reading dearly, and she would read any piece of paper or scrap she could find. Finishing school at age of fifteen, my mother was faced with two choices: either go to the country to pick different fruits and vegetables and sell them for money, or become a school teacher. She became a teacher only because her dream of becoming a policewomen was delayed since she had to be eighteen. Why she wanted to work with the police, I don't know. After three years of teaching, she ran to the recruiting center as soon as she was eighteen. Being a police woman gave my mother the opportunity to work as a detective dealing with criminal files and much more. My mother's strength touches me the most because it has helped me to learn that it doesn't matter what you can do. What matters is how you use the strength to get where you want to be.
