Given Equation is (a^2 - 2a)^2 - 23(a^2 - 2a) + 120.

It can be written as:

= > a^4 - 4a^3 + 4a^2 - 23a^2 + 46a + 120

= > a^4 - 4a^3 - 19a^2 + 46a + 120.

= > a^4 - 6a^3 + 2a^3 - 7a^2 - 12a^2 + 60a - 14a + 120

= > a^4 - 6a^3 - 7a^2 + 60a + 2a^3 - 12a^2 - 14a + 120

= > a(a^3 - 6a^2 - 7a + 60) + 2(a^3 - 6a^2 - 7a + 60)

= > (a + 2)(a^3 - 6a^2 - 7a + 60)

= > (a + 2)(a^3 - 9a^2 + 3a^2 + 20a - 27a + 60)

= > (a + 2)(a^3 - 9a^2 + 20a + 3a^2 - 27a + 60)

= > (a + 2)(a(a^2 - 9a + 20) + 3(a^2 - 9a + 20))

= > (a + 2)(a + 3)(a^2 - 9a + 20)

= > (a + 2)(a + 3)(a^2 - 4a - 5a + 20)

= > (a + 2)(a + 3)(a(a - 4) - 5(a - 4))

= > (a + 2)(a + 3)(a - 4)(a - 5).

Hope it helps!
