Yes, you can I mean Wave optics of class 12th is far much different from Waves you have studied in 11th, Wave optics focuses on general properties of light waves and proving wave natures of particles, whereas Waves of class 11 is more concerned about different ways of wave propagation its speed, sound and sonic effects etc.
