Answer:

Technology cannot replace a teacher.Technolgy is merely an augmentation to a teacher. It can help the process of learning ,but it certainly cannot replace the role of the teacher . Children still need to learn computers to operate those online sessions, which of course are taught by teachers. A teacher does not only share knowledge , but also teaches the students the necessary life skills ,inspires them to take on the right path. This is the reason why teachers are often considered to be rolemodels for students.Computers, online courses or any other means of technology can never bring in humanitarian traits that a teacher possesses and hence ,teachers being replace by the technology ,is totally out of the question. A computer can never prove as an alternative to a teacher's quick adaptability to situations. A teacher does not just speak , but instead , read the faces of student sitting in the class and accordingly work on his/her words and shapes the language while delivering the lecture. If the teacher feels that a student sitting at the back bench didn't understand a concept ,the teacher can represent the information in an easy format whicj reaches out to every member of the audience. While teachers can pick clues based on the emotional state of the students ,virtual learning can never scale the walls of this precious human ability. Not only children but all of us ,do not need a mentor in life to offer guidance and inputs. And admit it , even today, not everyone of us completely understands the way computers interact with us.This is why we have computer teachers at school, who help us bridge this gap and make us understand the technological complexities and the language required to communicate with a computer. If there were no teachers , then instead of easing the things for the mankind , the technological advancements could have rather worsen than learning process by making it even more complex to understand. That is why technology cannot replace teachers

Answer:

In my personal opinion there is a lot more that goes into teaching than just the subject related information. It is the experience of the teacher, the questions that have been raised in many years of the teacher’s teaching experience and the soft issues including morals. These things are tough to replace. So wherever teachers are available, in my opinion, Google or any other technology will not / should not replace teachers but equip them to ensure standardisation, speed of upgraded information and access to global learnings.

While I say the above, we must not forget that the technology is also developed by human brains. The benefit that technology (even if it comes from Google) must aim to replace teachers in the environment where it must e.g. rural outreach for education, where we find tough to have qualified teachers because of whatever reason. Even if the technology will be less effective than a “good” teacher, it will improve the experience of imparting education by creating “access” to better quality education than what is available now. You might need one teacher than may be 3 currently employed. The second benefit would be the “standardisation” with which education will be imparted in the rural areas. Thirdly technology can provide illustrative ways to demonstrate experiments in rural areas in absence of equipped laboratories in schools. So it merits in certain cases. They may not get softer learnings, but collaborated with teachers focusing on imparting moral values, technology can definitely help in upgrading the quality of education on most subjects.

In conclusion, and in my opinion, technology (Google as per this specific question) can assist in making education a better experience either by better assisting the good teachers in developed areas and by replacing teachers in rural areas where qualified teachers may be hard to find......................
