As we know that Average Speed= Total Distance Covered / Total time taken

The average speed will be zero if and only if total distance covered is zero,from the above formula.

Now if total time taken is zero means average speed would be infinite which is never possible. Also the distance covered can never be zero as its a moving body which is not at rest. Thus Average speed of a moving body can never be zero.
