• No, cube of a positive number can not be negative because cube of every positive number is always positive.

• For example, Let x be any positive integer.

So,

(x)^{3} = x\times x\times x \\ \\ = x^{2}\times x

Which is always positive.

• Similarly, cube of a negative number is always negative.

• For example let us take (-x) be a negative number.

So,

 (-x)^{3} = (-x) \times (-x)\times (-x) \\ \\ = x^{2} \times (-x)

which is always negative.
