Can the direction of velocity of an object change, when acceleration is constant ?

Yes, in case of uniform circular motion , when the body is moving which a constant ( speed) not velocity because velocity is a vector quantity and in circular motion direction is changing continuously so velocity is changing.

When the velocity is changing , acceleration is there because it is change in velocity / time .
