Can the interlinking of rivers be a solution for mitigation of flood? please answer it correctly I will mark it as brainliest

yeah its a solution as the excess water would go down to river as river and sea lies in the loweat points so the river would bring the excess water to sea thus rivers helps in the mitigation of flood.

Floods cannot be prevented, however the detrimental effects can be avoided and reduced to a certain limit to avoid huge loss. If rivers are restored and bent to improve their navigability this can restore and delay the length in flood flow and reduce the impact of flooding.

If Planned and executed well, yes interlinking of rivers can be a possible solution for mitigation of flood.

Interlinking involves the process of diverting surplus river water through a network of canals to relatively drier areas either within a state or among two or more states where management of excess water can be planned well.
