According to the first triangle inequality theorem, the lengths of any two sides of a triangle must add up to more than the length of the third side.

a) -2,3,4

a=-2, b=3, c=4

b+c = 3+4

=7 > -2

b+c > a

so, it is a sides of the triangle.

b) -5,7,12

a= -5, b=7, c=12

b+c = 7+12

= 19 > -5

b+c > a

so, it is a sides of the triangle.
