hello buddy

here's your answer

the formula to find equal zeros of an equation is

{b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0

here b=k

a=1

and c=k

thus

 {k}^{2}  - 4 \times 1 \times k = 0

which gives

 {k}^{2}  - 4 {k} = 0

which gives

{k(k-4)} =0

thus {k=4}  {or}   {k=0}

which shows that k can be greater than 1 as k=4 greater than 1

hope it helps
