A priest who works in a temple or any other religious place works for religion which us a non economic activity. But he still have to earn to live which is a economic activity

Yes, the same activity may be economic and non-economic. Economic activities are those activities that are done to earn money or gain economic rewards. Whereas, the non-economic activities are the activities that are performed without the intention of getting money. The given statement can be proved with the example with the service a nurse provides to different patients. A nurse in the hospital attending an inpatient is an example of economic activity as she will be receiving money for her job. Whereas, the same nurse attending her suffering mother at home is an example of non-economic activity as she will not receive any payment for her service to her mother.
