Can the temperature of melting ice can be measured using laboratory thermometer? Explain.

Temperature is measured by using a device (or instrument) called thermometer. In the Celsius scale of temperature, the temperature of melting ice is given a value of 0°C (zero degree Celsius) and the temperature of boiling water is given a value of 100 °C (hundred degrees Celsius).
