Yes.
I did contest for the school presidential elections.First of all,you have to select a symbol which best describes what you want your school students to be like or rather what you would help them to become like.
Be humble and grateful.
Begin by thanking the people who have nominated you for the post.
Make promises which you will be able to keep and try not to appear very keen for the post.
When I contested for elections this year, I found that people who do not know you personally, are greatly influenced by your symbol (in my case, I selected a rose as my symbol).
